If you waste your money on Amazon Prime, they just dropped a series called Upload.

When people are dying they have an option for their conscious to be uploaded to a digital matrix "heaven" where you live forever.

So the basic plot is that a guy is dying and his GF uploads him to this Canadian style resort so they can be together because it's something her family does.

It's interesting in that he realizes he's completely financially controlled by her. She pays for the service, he can't get the password, and has to sort of get permission to buy anything.

She being a "rich" vapid woman pretty much chooses his clothes, arranges his funeral as one would a wedding with gift bags, and threatens to delete and murder him on an emotional whim.

Meanwhile he starts to get into a friendship with this chick that works at a call center for uploaded people to the matrix. She spies on him as does her boss even when he turns on privacy settings.

She has her own issues, where sex has not become an Uber situation in the future, where you call up people to fuck (like Tinder) and then you get star ratings, and guys consistently rate her less than 5 stars. So that's funny.

I'm not "recommending" the show, just more an interesting observation as a fan of sci fi, to see women represented in ways that might, accidentally, and possibly, maybe, make them, by a smidgen of an inch, looks less than stunning and brave.
