I would say I've crafted some kind of island. My life for all intents and purposes is segregated from the population. Not really by choice initially but that's how things panned out.

Truth is I was always introverted, and offbeat. Whole life I've gone against the grain. Many people along the way right from day one hated me for this. Seems like difference cannot simply be respected or appreciated, only mocked, scorned, misunderstood or feared.

There have been many people, however always in the vast majority along the way that got me. Kindred spirits in amongst this haze.

I embraced the advent of bubble life. More than most, because I live in a central European country where foreigners are treated as outsiders. After 10 years I mostly gave up trying.

I see the people here as emotionally defective. Socially retarded.

This last decade has been about me breaking free from the need for companionship and the establishment of true peace and happiness.

And my life would be bliss if it wasn't for work.

Work is that cross over to the mainland. It's the time I have to leave the comfort of my world where I'm in control of the setting and into the realm of the common moron.

Here I must tolerate. Kids "playing" work. Mood swings. Inconsistency. Utter fucking morons, and guys in their 20's and 30's who behave like they're still living under mothers skirt.

I swear I would have loved these people if I was 16.

Not everyone is a total chop and of course, I'm painting the black side of it. But there is no cure. The cure would be not to work. Still those bills need to be paid.

I'll always be at odds with it. I'm good at it, get paid great and have carved out the worlds easiest job, but the general office setting fucking sucks and cannot be cured.
