For starters, in the future, never trust your co-workers, even other men. Talk about work; nothing else.

For seconders, if you go over someone's work long enough, you'll eventually find something to fire them for. Get video if possible.

For third, whatever you told that guy in confidence that he repeated to your boss, tell your boss the guy said the exact same thing about the boss. It's petty drama stuff but it might protect a bit of your private info if you cast doubt on the big mouth's credibility.

Fourth, if you know the guy is holding, tattle on him to someone at the company. That's a serious offense at most companies and will probably get them fired.

Just play it cool and get video of something that would lead to termination. Or ask to be assigned with someone else. Otherwise, this is going to eat you up inside.
