I think you are on the right path.

The IDGAF attitude is stressed because way to many guys give to many fucks. The optimal marriage path is with you stepping up and acting like the leader and her following your lead. To achieve that most of us have to go stoic but that is just the path, not the goal.

As you point out, the key is avoiding covert contracts. You assumed more work and took over some jobs to make life easier for your wife. You can frame that as supplicating to her frame in hopes of her giving up some scraps of pussy or you can frame it as being an in charge man who takes care of business and just assumes the pussy is going to happen.

TLDR: Take care of business because that is what a man does, not because you have a covert contract for prostitution services with your wife.

The topic of chores gets a lot of attention on this board. Doing things that need to be done, like paying bills, helping kids with homework, maintaining the house are all valuable activities. Doing them because they need to be done does not necessarily diminish attraction. They undermine attraction when you do them because you are trying to please your woman. That said, there is a division of labor that must happen as well. She should do the things on the caring spectrum while you do the financial, technical and mechanical. She is not your servant, and you are not hers, but make that division and your expectations clear.

The "shit that stresses her out" list can be broken down into yours and hers. Paying the bills? Yours. Fixing things? Yours. Feeding the kids? Hers. It sounds like you probably did this. Let her do the feminine things, and you handle all the masculine things. This lets her feel womanly, and want to be your woman.

It wasnt feeding them...it was checking their homework and helping them with it if necessary...she does the majority of the cooking, I sometimes fix ny own wacky keto meal if wht they are having is too carb laden.

I think your are missing a key point. Remember women don't communicate content, they communicate emotion. It's not about the shit that's not getting done specifically. In this case I suspect she's trying to tell you she's uncomfortable and insecure. This is a comfort test. How's your plan? What is her buy in to where your changes are going?
