Hi everyone, I'm in the middle of recovering from beta nice guy syndrome but I think I may have messed up. (started reading nmmng yesterday)

My girlfriend brought our son to bed, after a while she came downstairs and I was about ready to go to sleep.

She asked me if I could hang up the laundry and I told her I didn't want to. She sits on the couch and mentions that there was a pulling pain on the bottom of her stomach and it felt a bit unpleasant. (she's 7 months pregnant)

She's going to the doctor tomorrow to talk about some blood results so I simply told her to have the doctor check it out. (trying to fix her problems, big no no)

I then tell her I'm going to bed as I need to wake up early as I was outside working on the fence for a few hours today and need t finish up in the morning before work.

She doesn't like how this all transpired and told me it's nice to know that she complained about a pain and all I could do was tell her to ask the doctor and that I was going to bed and didn't give a shit about helping her.

So I freaked out and got the wet laundry and said I can help her, she then tells me she wants me to leave as I don't care she has a pain and she doesn't want to see my face.

I then tell her that no one forced her to go to sing in the choir this morning, standing for over an hour, she said it didn't hurt this morning and tells me to just go.

I ignore her and keep on hanging up the clothes on the opposite side of the hanger and she just tells me to leave because she wants to hang them her way.

I then proceed to drop the laundry and go upstairs and now I'm writing this post.

Keeping in mind she had a concert this morning as she sings in a choir (but she's not religious, pretty common here)and was standing up for more than an hour and when she came home in the afternoon, I told her she can take a nap while I watch our son as she's pregnant.

My questions:

  1. What should I have done differently?
  2. Was she shit testing me?
  3. Should I have just hung up the damn clothes because she's pregnant?
  4. Should I have just gone upstairs after I told her I didn't want to hang up the clothes and not linger for too long?

I was making great progress the last few days and now it's been pissed away again and her hormones will keep her angry at me for another 4-5 days.

I get that we aren't married (we don't belive in it) but together for almost 10 years.
