Today i viewed a programme called "Things we won't say about Racism" and i felt a lot of it correlated in regards to Feminism:

  • it was stated that all movement's have over reachers that will try and over step their mark and push boundaries, for example radical/Tumblr Feminists.

  • it showed one of the most improved British schools, whose action plan is to concentrate on those sections of student's that need it most at that time, for example Somalians, Ghanians etc - this year they are focusing on white British students because they reasoned that they had spent so long focusing on other groups that they have in turn made white British students fall behind and now they need to catch up. I feel like this correlates now with males in general after exams and teaching methods have been centred around improving female grades.

  • it spoke of a new doctrine. the host Trevor Phillips was a leading figure in equality in the UK for 9 years said that before they had taken the stance to try and stop people from saying racist things, thus eventually they would stop thinking them he stated he thought it didn't work and now the new doctrine is that White British people were now seen as tarnished and as such were afraid to speak out about things in fear that they may be seen as racist, again i think this applies to some men who see male issues or incidents involving women but are too afraid to speak out about them for being castigated. an example was a small black girl that died from being tortured by her parents as they thought that she was possessed. the girl had over 100+ injuries and many people had noticed but put it down to her life from her native country or culture and it could and should have been easily stopped.

  • (this point admittedly got a way from me but i still think there may be something there )He spoke about statistics and said that it shouldn't be racist if used correctly profiling in groups. Another example they gave in the show was in the UK 9 out of 1000000 white people are murdered, where as 26 out of 1000000 black people are murdered in the UK each year but out of these 26 an overwhelming majority were caused by other black people. i'm not saying every time someone is murdered all black people should be automatically assumed at a higher possibility of committing the murder, but there should be a way to investigate perhaps why this is and fix it. but coming back to Feminism and just in general i feel a lot of talk of study relates to 10% of section A do this to fit an agenda whilst ignoring other statistics that do not suite your agenda, and generally by profiling and having up to date statistics it could help both genders, for example sexual violence/ harassment with better understanding i feel men would be less targeted and women could be more in the limelight as they also commit these crimes on a large scale.

-regarding the statistic's kind of it was shown that there were cases where people weren't arrested due to their nationality as people did not want to be seen targeting one group too much because again of being called racists. in the programme they said they saw Colombian's with millions of pounds of drugs on the street of London and had a lot of evidence from surveillance but got told not to because of targeting, this goes back to people not speaking out about women. another example was that there were/ still are many cases of Pakistani men targeting young school age girls grooming and having sex with them whilst the statistics were there that this was predominantly a problem with men from and closer to this kind of heritage when they shot an informative cautionary programme/movie they had an older Asian male as the character but it got scrapped because of fear of outrage and they shot it again with a younger white male lead. which was not suitable because after many arrests from men doing these crimes there were i believe ~78 or 120 (sorry it was this morning and there were many facts and figures) only 3 of those arrested met the white young male description. i feel this is happening with a lot of crimes which have men as the "headline" figure even if the crimes or issues in question are near equally shared between genders or slanted towards women.

a final thought that i have already touched on i feel (sorry why does it all seem to dissipate from your mind when you are writing) is that they had seen a rise in certain crimes from different diverse groups but couldn't target it properly because of Racism and now these crime's are getting out of hand and they are struggling to combat them. This reminds me of false Rape/sexual harassment allegations women have been protected for so long now and people have not spoken up because it seems to be an unspoken rule that they can't be challenged on it and rarely if ever face consequences for making false allegations it has spread rampantly and is becoming a kind of pandemic, which will be and is hard to control.

again i'm sorry i think i may have gone on a little off topic, but hopefully i have got some good points across and i'm considering watching the programme again tomorrow so i can clarify/ properly explain my thoughts while they are fresh.
