I've seen quite a few documentaries about abused men over the past year or so, and having seen many about women as it's all they seem to highlight in the media, the abuse that men face is unfathomable.

Women who abuse men often seem to be downright evil or unhinged. No kind of grip on reality - they do everything they can to control men and to hurt them.

In the documentaries I saw, the men abused described how women would stick lit cigarettes up their nose, pour boiling water into their laps, break their ribs, beat them on the head, leaving bruises and scars as well as permanent mental, emotional and psychological damage.

All of these women were completely unapologetic, and two of the men in the various documentaries I saw went on to be murdered by their abusers, who either laughed whilst appearing in court or blamed it on the men, pulling the victim card and claiming defense and the worst thing, is that some people believed them.
