Feminists (mostly the AAUW the author mentioned) pushed for and the Women’s Educational Equity Act which gave them congressional funding and authority to influence education to focus on girls to the detriment of boys. It worked! As the author mentioned there have been other things that have either discriminated against males or failed to serve them in education since.

We are finally getting articles that focus on education failing males, but sadly most of these articles fail to mention the known causes. It’s no great mystery as to why males are doing worse and females are doing better. It was intentional.

It’s great to see an author address at least some of the these causes. Thanks for posting the article. Hopefully many will read it.

Christina Hoff Sommers deep dives this topic in her book "The War Against Boys" which I recommend everyone reads.

She also wrote "Who Stole Feminism" centered more around adult gender issues. Check it out y'all and arm yourself with facts.
