I see a lot of posts that talk about women potentially being drafted and typically many comments are along the lines of "oh well the draft hasn't been used for x amount of years and won't be so it doesn't matter" or "women can't fill combat roles so..." I find myself wondering why no one brings up that men can not apply for federal scholarships or hold any federal position (along with some state positions) without signing up? Why is it that no one brings up that men literally do not have the right to vote in America but instead have to enter a contract with their government lest the ability to vote be stripped from them?
