Modern anxiety approaches certainly help, but they sometimes don't emphasize that anxiety IS a signal.

It's good to learn how to reduce that anxiety with various techniques and mental approaches. Overwhelming anxiety needs some outlets.

DO NOT forget it serves a second function.

It's a signal.

It’s a warning.

Your body KNOWS something is threatening and dangerous to you.

It's telling you that you’re body/mind doesn’t think you’re capable of handing something. Maybe it's a social situation. Maybe it’s your skills in finding a career. Maybe it’s you’re ability to handle a rejection.
Learn to manage your anxiety, but also learn to tap into it.

LISTEN to what it’s telling you.

This way, you can approach it from both sides. You’re learning mental coping strategies AND addressing the underlying stressors contributing to the anxious signal in the first place.
