I've seen this shit in the german media. She had consenting sex with that guy before. I don't know... She also - as far as I remember - reported the "rape" way later. So the whole story sounds like a regret-thing to me. Might be wrong, but thats my opinion.

She is upset that she didn't get her way and how the campus system works. BTW it is telling that the Columbia School of law is the only part of Columbia which declined using this system ( which was voted on apparently). Her and the guy had had sex two times before, in the midst of the third consensual time he allegedly held her down and penetrated her anally. He had been drinking(drunk) she had not( if a guy did this he'd be guilty of rape under consent rules dehydrated or not). She says she objected loudly and forcefully ,he apparently finished or stopped and then left . She did not get a rape kit, did not tell the police or campus. Later she ran into his ex girlfriend at a party and got to talking and even though the girlfriend and he had gone out for two semesters they agreed that they would go to the campus cause they felt he was abusive and she decided that she had been raped. so 6months to a year after these two women decided to go to the campus system. Another women after hearing about the guy being in campus review reported him for kissing her in a dark room yet did not follow through on the process. The guy went through the campus system as well and apparently "won" his case. Later she started distributing lists of "rapist" on campus. 1.5 years later she brought a title IX case with other activists. Still later recently she finally went to the police so that his name was in the public record. None of this is is the Time article or the previous one. The guys point of view is never told. In fact now she is doing this project and media interviews complaining about how terrible the police were making it even less likely that the next victim actually use the criminal court system to prosecute a rapist. If I lived in NYC I think I would organize a counter demonstration. Have 1000 men show up carrying new, wrapped mattresses. Mill around the university for a while then donate those mattresses to a local shelter that does not discriminate against men.
