There's various things feminists say which it would be nice to have good succinct comebacks for.

eg "feminism is about equality", one response might be is that its a very paternalistic for a women's branded movement to determine what is equal for everyone.

i'm not sure how to respond to "check your privilege" and there's a ton of others out there as well. a list of the top 20-30 feminist sayings and the best responses would be awesome.

if you don't have comebacks to post, you could just post the feminist sayings you've come across and someone else can post a comeback.

i'll be happy to edit here if people post good ones so we end up with a reference list.

  • "Feminism is about equality" - then why call it feminism; the very word feminism is from latin "femina", meaning woman.
  • "FGM is nothing like male circumcision" - W.H.O. type Ia is. Are you saying that should be legal?
  • "Rape affects women only" - A good counter to rape is false rape charges. Just as men generally cant be victims of rape Ive yet to see a serious case of a woman being a victim of a false rape allegation.
  • "You're a feminist? Aww, that's so cute."
  • "Check your privilege"
    • "How does any privilege you believe I have impact the points I am making here? " or: My privilege? How about your privilege:
  • The ability to not be seen as a threat to normal people.
  • The ability to work with kids without fear of being branded a pedophile
  • The confidence that you will have a role in your childrens upbringing, as more than a check.
  • The confidence that police will listen to you if you partner resorts to violence.
  • The confidence that my life is valued by society, whether or not i have a relationship with the opposite sex
  • the ability to go through life with my sex organs intact
