I think ppl just need to accept the idea that if another person doesn't contact you it means that he\she just is not interested in you. A person has the absolute right to call and ask out again and it's also absolute right to accept\decline this invitation. "Wow!" if yes, "Pity, have a good time" if no.
But as ghosting means that you constantly avoid another person when he\she tries to contact you... I think that if you avoid me it's my business to get the idea that you didn't like me well enough so i stop contacting you in any way. No calls, no usage of friends to "just want to know how are you", to email, no contacts in fb or wherever. So there will be no ghosting at all.
