Okay, I got into this discussion on my class facebook (they'd made a post advertising the feminist fundraiser they're doing). I was wondering if I worded something badly or misphrased something which would give them a valid reason to attack my argument. I don't see any, but I'm biased in this matter. I am honestly looking for anyone who sees bad phrasing or mistakes, to bring them to my attention, so I know what to avoid. Thanks, everybody!

Had a brief conversation with purple person.

(Another guy talking to her): "There is not really good research on the causes of the wage gap."

Me: "There have been a few comprenhensive studies, two which are widely cited."

Her: "You're a white man, I don't want to hear what you have to say."

Me: "That's sexist."

Her: "I'm not sexist."

Me: "By definition, what you said was sexist. You say what I say doesn't matter based on my gender."

Her: "I just don't want to hear from you."

Me: "That's fine, but I'm not just talking to you."

Another girl: "She doesn't want to hear from you."

Me: "I wasn't just talking to her"

The other girl: "Who were you talking to, then?

Me: "The conversation as a whole"

The other girl: "No one was listening to you."

Another guy: "I was listening."
