With all the coverage of crazy rape processes at American universities I thought I might suggest a way for those accused to mitigate the damage done to their academic careers. Here in NZ, particularly at the university I linked, we have reasonably comprehensive online learning systems where you can do most, if not all, of your degree online. And from what I understand you can also do it from other countries. For students caught up in these cases I thought this might provide a way to continue studying while their 'case' is being looked at legally. This could allow students to cross credit some papers toward their degree and mitigate some of the stress posed by these situations.

Being honest I am not really sure if US universities do this already, but I haven't heard anyone mention this yet so I thought I would throw this out there.
