Well that does make AVfM look like a hate site. It's hard to argue against that.

Furthermore I'd have to agree with Shepherd about AVfM being a hate site and also facilitators of violence for the way it chose to go about exposing those who were advocating violence. The support of such tactics is also advocacy of violence in my humble opinion. Really I see much of the AVfM crowd as the same kind of crowd as the one they were pointing at, but in a slightly different wrapping.

Reading Paul Elam or Johntheother's nonsense has given me one of the strongest red pill experiences I've ever had. It has to be the red pill that has to be taken rectally they gave me. I never thought I could find such a hate mongering buffoon like Paul or a master hypocrite like John anywhere. It has made me more dedicated to be a true anti-violence advocate.

I’d like to make it the objective for the remainder of this month, and all the Octobers that follow, for men who are being attacked and physically abused by women - to beat the living shit out of them. I don’t mean subdue them, or deliver an open handed pop on the face to get them to settle down. I mean literally to grab them by the hair and smack their face against the wall till the smugness of beating on someone because you know they won’t fight back drains from their nose with a few million red corpuscles.

No. Not because it’s wrong. It’s not wrong. Every one should have the right to defend themselves. Hell, women are often excused from killing someone whom they allege has abused them. They can shoot them in their sleep and walk. Happens all the time. It’ll even get you a spot on Oprah, and cuntists across the cunt-o-sphere will be lionizing you.

In that light, every one of those women at Jezebel and millions of others across the western world are as deserving of a righteous ass kicking as any human being can be. But it isn’t worth the time behind bars or the abuse of anger management training that men must endure if they are uppity enough to defend themselves from female attackers.

He says you should use excessive violence. That's advocating violence.

Furthermore he doesn't see it as wrong, but fair. The only problem he sees is that there are consequences. I quote again.

This is getting to the extreme levels we talk about in the mod policy. This fight/harassment of each other is getting way, way out of hand.

Sigil1 has a point - the context is very important.

1) Is there a discussion about using violence towards abusive women? Yes. That is clear.

2) Does Paul Elam advocate for violence? NO. He does not. This is made clear from the following context from the article you are quoting:

End this bullshit now. Paul Elam is very provocative, and you don't have to agree with him or even like his writings. But Sigil1 has a good point that you are creating/falsifying evidence by misrepresenting the context.

Which says "no I don't think it's wrong to defend yourself in the manner I explained earlier" which was.

So he's an advocate of unnecessary violence through supporting the use of excessive force(not just subduing the attacker).

He later on sort of retracts that(but not really) by saying

Which doesn't make it better. It still allows for there to be use of excessive force. Also he inserts a subjective element by stating that it should be "in some way commensurate" so doing more than subduing could be alright. The law is clear on the matter; any violence beyond neutralizing the threat is illegitimate.

I don't see how Paul Elam is not a violence advocate to be honest. The only way to be a little more fair to him is that he doesn't see it as the best option, but thinks it's right and that those who go through with it are heroes.

As for the rule of law over the rule of an individual's moral code? He doesn't see any problem with the use of excessive force, but the consequences of it makes it not worth it. That's like saying "well murdering people isn't that big of a deal, except breaking the law entails jail time." and I don't know about you, but that certainly tells me they're not at all concerned with the law and what it represents at all.
