Essentially you are half fucked, and you cant really get unfucked. This really depends where you live and all that. You really need to look for lawyers and find one that will fight back against this to protect your reputation. You dont want this stuff to tarnish your name. If there is no evidence of this event, like cameras or receipts showing you wernt in that area, then she may be held accountable. If there is no evidence to prove/disprove, nothing will happen in the BEST case.

You need to make sure there is zero contact with her, and that you are never in the same room or area as her. In canada, if she calls the police as says you abused her, you WILL be arrested. Evidence means nothing.

I dont know if theres kids or anything involved. If there are then you are in an even worse position. Were you actually with her after the divorce was filed? Did she say it happened when you can prove you were not there?

Another thing that may help you is evidence of her behavior, if she is condesending, abusive, vindictive, that can work against her and make the accusation seem fake.

Btw if she finds her heart and admits its fake, DO NOT LET HER GET AWAY WITH IT!

But voila they found no DNA, she said I buy her and they found no bite marks… I’m considering stepping up the pressure on crown via media or via expert testimony etc., do you have any pointers for me

Buy a top end set of secretive recording devices, bug her and wherever she’s living, her car, and her phone. Then try to get some of her friends to get her to gloat in private lol. Cheaper than a lawyer

Honestly though I’ve got no clue if that would work or just get you more fucked but it’s what I’d do no joke. I’m sorry this is happening. It sounds stupid as all get out.

If there’s no evidence of a specific incident beyond her word, in a case where she has a very clear reason to lie, it’s going to be hard for them to prove, and it’s going to come down to evidence of how the relationship in general holds up to claims of abuse.

First thing you can do on your own is go through everything that would a hold a physical record of the relationship - texts, emails, letters, notes - and scan it for things that could establish her as A) abusive (if she was), B) sexually energetic and/or receptive, C) willing to lie, D) manipulative, and E) threatening/violent. You’re also going to want to look for anything that shows you as abusive or pushy when it came to sex, so you can know and be prepared for what will be used against you. Then, you’re going to want to do the same thing using sources such a regular people you and wife interact with, mutual friends, family etc.

Now, since you’re in Canada, you’re already partly fucked, so it’s all going to come down to the legal team you have if a trial comes your way. It’ll be worth it, don’t try to defend yourself or use a public defender. It’ll be worth it too to push for the extra mile of having the legal fees paid for.

I don't know anything about the laws where you are. She's using the legal system to her advantage. There are many legal ways to apply karma. Maybe there's a message to your local tax authority that she has an income from somewhere that isn't being reported. Say she drives and is the clubbing type. There might be an anonymous call that the car is driving erratically as she's driving away from the club, bar, pub, etc. Even if she hasn't been drinking, there'll be a police record of the suspected DUI stop to use against her. Applied karma can be a bitch for her. It might not change your outcome, but she'll have to spend time and resources to deal with it. Here's sending you good thoughts for a positive outcome for you.

Just know, secretly recording her in some states is illegal. It will result in a mistrial, or it will be extracted as evidence. Definitely ask your lawyer first.
