The problem is not that false accusations are rare. It's that rape is happening everywhere and going unreported because people don't even know they've been raped. Rape has to be stopped. Report every case you know of.
How many times did your friend give continuous verbal affirmative consent while fucking his wife? Was he repeatedly chanting the "yes" mantra during the act?
No? He is a victim of rape and needs to be saved. Report this to the police, err, sorry, the university administration (for now) and they will be sure to believe the victim and fuck up his wife in a kangaroo court for us all, because they are gender neutral, don't you know.
This horrible crime, worse than murder, is going on in bedrooms up and down the country and our p[m]atriarchal overlord simply doesn't care.
We are all victims of raping one another and don't even know. Sick fucks are allowing this to happen. You are one of them if you don't report all rape at once. Look out for you pals.
