I was raised in a feminist liberal household to believe men are basically supposed to center their lives around bettering a women's life at the expense of there own. And like many men, I blindly followed that sexist narrative without even questioning it. I paid for dates, bought my sister expensive gifts while getting nothing in return, and even defended female friends that got their own damn ass into trouble. when i started my senior year of college, my little sister demanded I help pay for her dorm when she first went off to college, to which I refused as I didn't have the money. I will say she was (sort of) understanding, but her friends and my parents were LIVID. her Friends especially were absolutely vile, calling me a man child, a future deadbeat dad, etc etc. Lets just say I have known her friends more than half my life, and they have seen the countless things I have done to support my sister, but somehow the second I stand up for myself in a way that doesn't immediately benefit a woman, Im an evil monster. That incident shattered my worldview I had been fed so long about men being the privileged gender. I have been getting constant shit from then on, so much so that I now refuse to see my sister if her friends are around. Men, stand up for what is right. you may get shit on and attacked by women AND men, but you know what? fuck them and fuck their sexist anti male world view. Your more than a walking toolbox, a breathing ATM, and a beat down workhorse designed to cater to the all mighty female. Stay strong brothers, and stand up to the face of injustice even when no one will have your back.

I’ve been here and it’s terrible. Don’t be afraid to push back a little, letting them know you don’t agree. They may not listen and will argue even harder, but I found voicing my opinion at least made me feel better.

Focus on your career ,dont fall into the minimun wage trap .

Mantain a healthy social life ,interact the minimun you can.

I can't say much other than I'm sorry you are living in an environment where you are treated poorly. It makes me angry that this kind of behavior is normalized and even celebrated in society. I treat people the way I want to be treated. Regardless of gender or anything else. We're living in strange times.
