A while ago, I remember watching a segment about a child who was sexually molested by a nun. When the interview asked if there were other nuns out there who commit this behavior, she laughed and then retorted by saying there are many of them out there and it's a shame they go unnoticed. The interviewer was legitimately shocked at the response. Society incorrectly assumes women as the nurturers and caregivers of children, but it turns they are also the most capable of hiding their abuses. Erin Pizzey briefly talked about how female pedophiles go unnoticed in her book as well.
