There is this theory too.

The part of the brain responsible for sexual attraction develops during puberty and you can't really change it after that (that part of the brain has low plasticity). Most people try to satisfy what they're attracted to by seeking out that kind of person to form a relationship with and in that way "obtain" what they're attracted to.

Something can go a bit haywire in that wiring and instead of trying to form a relationship with that which they're attracted to, they instead try to become what they're attracted to.

I've not found any sciencetific research that supports this, so it is just a theory. If true, it most likely would be a small minority, but it aligns with what we see in the feminist movement. A small minority pushing women to be more masculine, career driven, try to have lots of casual hookups, etc. so it seems plausible enough to warrant further investigation.

I think it’s more a cult. That way they keep the power and they give women an “enemy” to be afraid of. I think RP is too. (Not equating men’s rights with red pill but a lot of guys on here are). Feminists become hyper aware of SA, and Rp men become hyper aware of women’s behaviour. The leaders use repetition and emotive statements to brainwash. That’s why it’s so hard to convince people to hear other views. The repetition builds new neural pathways so it’s part of your brain. Both use about 10% science and the rest is warped psychology. Both deny the “enemy’s” feelings for what they have been told, and claim they know the enemy better than anyone. And both isolate the followers with fear and anger. So they lose the ability to to resolve conflicts and hear common sense. I think only if either actually made people happy, it might have had some fetish elements. But both just make angry unhappy people.
