Many words have multiple definitions and meanings.

When criticism is leveled against feminism and feminists, those who profess a belief in feminism always fall back on and point to the "definition" of feminism which sounds so simple and well meaning.

However the definitions of ideologies are far from simple and are often misleading from their actual practice.

One can tell that our human civilization has a very corrupt bias towards ideologies in that those in control like to hide the multiple facets of an ideology for convenience. For example, there is almost universal support for a definition of Fascism that labels it as authoritarian , racist, oppressive and for good reason given the history of Fascists governments and movements.

However Communism has just as oppressive, corrupt and murderous history around the world as fascism yet it is still given a much more lenient definition when compared to fascism. While Fascism is defined as Racist, authoritarian , right wing. Communism often is defined as just a theory of sharing property or of common holding. Communism does however have multiple definitions that show it as a totalitarian state dominated by one party. So while communism is not painted in such an oppressive and racist light as fascism, the definitions do give a few sides to it.

Definitions certainly do not even come close to telling the story of the actual practice and failures of ideologies. However notice how critical it is of some over others. Notice how the current definition of feminism is not even close to being critical.

Now lets look at how almost universally the ideology and movement of Feminism is defined.

"the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes"

"the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities. : organized activity in support of women's rights and interests."

Around the world there is about a 10 to 20 percent support of feminism. While there is a much, much greater support for women's well being and rights. That says a lot because people are realizing that feminism does not really have as much to do with an innocent advocacy of womens rights, more so an authoritarian and sexist demonization of men in order to paint women as universal victims to then demand changes within governments and laws and education to benefit women.

If there are multiple definitions of most ideologies to show their negative and less innocent characteristics. Why is there not more to the definition of feminism yet?

Feminism is very unpopular in the world yet institutions still cradle and protect it as if it is a woman itself.

Isn't it time an alternative definition of feminism is introduced? One that paints it in a more accurate definition. Adding its Sexist nature, as well as its liberal authoritarian oppression of different viewpoints and its tendency towards misandry.

I honestly doubt we will ever see a more critical definition of feminism however.
