From the comments from a male psychotherapist about how female psychotherapists hate men:

I probably shouldn’t say this but as a psychotherapist (and man) myself, I think one of the largest issues that isn’t talked about in the world of therapy is that there is a bias - theoretically, and practically - that negatively impacts men. I can’t tell you how many female therapists I’ve spoken with who have a negative view of working with men, but don’t see how feeling that way could possibly impact working with said men. Either they straight up don’t work with them, or they speak very negatively about men and their issues. Women have legitimate emotional problems, but men are “resistant to treatment” or their problems are “toxic masculinity”. What I’ve found though is that men just need people to work differently with them, and that’s ok. But I think there are many therapists who can’t see that, or don’t want to, because it’s incongruous with their worldview.

... I don't recognize my experience of therapy in what that guy is saying.

I could perfectly describe the time I caught my egg donor in my bed, cheating with her current boyfriend. In my literal bed, where I literally sleep at night, in my literal bedroom, where my literal bed is located, literally having sex with a stranger, and I came home late after meeting with friends, and turned on the lights to that scene.

I could feel that my intimacy, my personal space, has been breached and violated by the fact she decided to do the act in my fucking bed! That's my space, my intimacy, and she disregarded all that and invaded my space, marked it as her own!

Therapist: "you have an aversion to the idea of your mother being sexual."

... No I don't. Have you missed about how many words and how many repeats that the part that pissed me is my bed, my territory?

Therapist: "Why do you call it "your bed" when your mother had sex?"

Do I need to hand draw a map of the house? With what rooms are where and where her bedroom is, and where mine is, and on which bed of which room she had sex in?

Therapist: "How do you know all that?"

Because I came home exhausted and heading for my bed, only to find it occupied?

Therapist: "Again with "your bed this, your bed that!"!"

Follows half an hour of trying over and over to make the point that something happened in my bed that I'm okay with happening in literally any other bed in the world, but not mine, hand drawing a map of the house and clearly labeling each room, and the therapist still not getting it.

Therapist: "we'll work on your possessive feelings more next week."

I think that including a fucking map would have been pretty clear. I think the feeling of someone intruding on my literal space was pretty clear.

All I asked was to be told "Wow, she decided to do her thing in your personal space? That sucks man, you're right to be upset, especially since she doesn't seem sorry at all for that!". Instead, I got told that me being upset at seeing a sex act take place in my bed where I sleep at night was due to me feeling possessive regarding my egg donor.
