Wait - didn't this guy hold down and sodomize a 13 year old girl while she begged for her asthma meds?? This isn't the sort of guy that I want to support.

I'm not afraid to be downvoted, and not afraid to speak my mind, but I won't support Roman Polanski. I just can't.

Interesting video, though. Much food for thought, I just think the title is a long lick on a cow's ass.

Polanski is not merely an accused rapist. He pled guilty and even allocuted. Then he fled the country when the judge seemed likely to sentence him in excess of the plea bargain.

I agree with freeing him--after he surrenders to US authorities and serves his full prison term.

The article says that, "the victim wants all of it to end." Well, it all would have ended, if Polanski had not fugitized in the first place. He, and not the Justice Department, is responsible for prolonging the victim's involvement with this case.

Frankly, this does not relate to men's rights at all. Men do not have a right to rape, and men do not have a right to flee the country to escape justice.

There is not even the merest fig leaf of a possible false accusation to create doubt here. He drugged and raped a girl, and is completely unrepentant.

I strongly disagree with the assessment, but there is a coherent argument there.
