We anti-feminist men shouldn't discriminate against other men based on ethnicity or religious beliefs. It doesn't matter if they are White, Black, Arab, Persian, Indian, East Asian, etc. We should support each other regardless of ethnicity or religious beliefs, and stand united against feminism.

However, it is difficult to surmise why someone has to come up with a counter movement to women’s movements, and demean all the feminists to fight discrimination when gender-based oppression of both women and men stems from the same root – The Patriarchy.

It is difficult to surmise why someone has to come up with a counter civil rights movement to the KKK., and demean all the clan members to fight discrimination.

Here's the thing feminists, I don't buy for a second that your movement hasn't targeted and harmed men. Whatever intentions you personally may have, your movement and the people in it with power have actively hurt men unjustly, and it won't stop until your ideology is powerless.

While one might question why men even need such a platform when it is known that they are the privileged section with all the privileges granted to them right from their birth,

"It is known, I think therefore it is." Just keep framing your assertions as if they were obvious and that should be enough to prove your point, I guess.

Oh look, what's this, an image? I guess we're supposed to get from this meme that MRAs are unattractive aren't we. How original.

Men’s rights activists outright deny that men have been given more privileges on account of their sex.

This feels manipulative. What someone unfamiliar with MRAs will hear is "MRAs deny that men had more rights than women." Meanwhile, what we actually argue is that while men had more rights, they had them because men also had more responsibilities, and the additional rights they enjoyed were meant to either incentivize or equip men to fulfil their obligations. Given that, calling them "privileges" is a little silly, though there are still some genuine privileges that both men and women have and do enjoy.

According to MRA’s, women have never been oppressed, rather men have always been the real ‘victims’.

Sure, I'll argue that women have never been oppressed, but which MRA's are saying that men have always been "the real" victims?

They have complained that feminism has gone too far, causing enormous harm to men

No, that's what antifeminists who think the first two waves were good usually say. MRAs don't buy that. Which is it, do MRAs think women were never oppressed or do they think that feminism has "gone too far," implying that at some point it was justified?

By “privileges”, Indian MRAs often mean the separate compartment in metro trains for women to prevent sexual harassment by pervert men who treat women’s bodies as their private property.

No, by "privileges" Indian MRAs point to the rape laws in India that refuse to recognize female rapists as rapists. I'd point out, at one time the rape laws in India were gender neutral, but this was objected to by feminists and changed as a result. Indian feminists fought to essentially defend female rapists, but Indian men are the perverts who think they are sexually entitled. Also, yet another example of why MRAs don't have a choice but to oppose feminism if they are to advance men's rights.

Also, are separate bus compartments not a privilege? I distinctly recall a Rosa Parks.

By “too far”, they probably mean that feminism has gone on to perpetuate this crazy idea that women too are human beings with a mind of their own, and rights over their bodies.

No, we criticize feminism for suggesting that women were not considered human beings before feminism. This isn't just a defense of women, this is an accusation against men, and this accusation has been used to target and abuse men. And since our lovely author made such an assertion without evidence, I feel free to dismiss it without evidence. As soon as they come to the table with a bit more seriousness, I'll be more than happy to do so in kind.

I don't know that I can go on, this was just dense with stupidity, every sentence found a boring way to be retarded, and it would simply take forever to clean up the mess, and it's not interesting or challenging enough for there to be any benefit at all.

I belive most women know about this, they just cant talk about it loudly, beacuse they will be called by sisterhood and shame'd by them.

There sure where a lot of strawmen in that article that the author managed to blow over..Here are some "Gems" from the article:

"While one might question why men even need such a platform when it is known that they are the privileged section with all the privileges granted to them right from their birth"

Wow.. how fucking arrogant is this statement? I mean.. if this is in ANY way true, then I seem to have either misplaced or not received my "Patriarchy Privilege" Card from birth.. Do you think it got lost in the mail or something?

Of course the above is in stark contrast with the following statement:

"Feminists, therefore, never do and never have assumed that all men are empowered, or men cannot face discrimination. Yet it is also undeniably true that women are the primary victims of patriarchy. Misogyny, from what history tells us, has ruined far more lives than misandry."

"Feminists, therefore, never do and never have assumed that all men are empowered, or can not face discrimination"
Except you know.. that part literally in the previous paragraph where you say "When it is known that they the privileged section" Nooooo totally not a blanket assumption about men at all nope not here!!

Or, when feminists DO admit that men face discrimination or disenfranchisement its always with the caveat of it being at the hands of other MEN and never at the hands of women (Because women are the oppressed class and its literally impossible for the oppressed to discriminate against their oppressors don't you know?)

I also love how the article skirts over the fact that the feminist movement HAS done considerable harm to men and continues to do so.. but why let facts get in the way of a good narrative eh?

Why let inconvenient truths like the fact that the Duluth Model of Domestic Violence was based upon assumed conclusions from assumed biases about domestic violence? and thus this very flawed model treats male victims of Domestic Violence as abusive aggressors. Nope! totally not harmful to men at all...

Or the absolute witch warlock hunt that the #MeToo movement devolved into, and how many men were falsely accused by women.. Once again.. no harm to men there at all..

Or the fact that Feminist dogma still teaches to treat all men as potential rapists, which enforces a negative stigma upon men and couldn't POSSIBLY also lead to the mental health issues affecting men and thus the high suicide rates..

Now if you excuse me, I need a stiff drink after reading that horrible article..

Yeah no, just linking some youtube videos without context or any explanation to back them up does not a good counter argument make.

1) I have NEVER nor would I EVER claim that "Women don't get raped" It does happen and when it does it is fucking horrible. And those who are guilty of committing rape REGARDLESS OF THEIR GENDER should be held accountable and punished for what they have done.

2) Boys will be Boys was NEVER used in the context of hand waving away or excusing a young man of committing rape.
The phrase was snatched up by feminism and its meaning twisted and warped into what THEY wanted it to mean. Boys will be boys was a phase used in exasperation over the antics / proclivities of boys.

For example, a young boy going down to the local park with his friends to play Rugby or Football and coming home covered head to toe in mud: "Boys will be Boys"
Or some boys climbing a tree because it seems like a good idea at the time and one of them falls out of the tree and breaks his arm: "Boys will be Boys"

I am absolutely disgusted with the fact that feminists stole an innocent phrase and warped it to push their disgusting narrative.

3) I'm not going to say that the feminist movement hasn't done any good, as I'm sure it has achieved / done good for women. But I absolutely refuse to believe that feminism has any inclination or reason to benefit men in any way shape or form.

Aside from lip service honeyed words of 'Yes, men also suffer under the Patriarchy" and claims that feminism is fighting to abolish gender roles / expectations like expecting men to be overly stoic and not open up emotionally.

Name me ONE thing that feminism has done for the benefit of men over the benefit of women.

I'll wait.

[–]Upbeat-Highway-5953 -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

I can’t name something that feminism is doing to benefit men over benefitting women because real, actual feminists are trying to help both, thus making that question null and void.

[–]Punder_man 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

And just who are these "Actual Feminists"? where are they hiding?
Because from what I can see they flat out don't exist.

If feminism were a TRUE movement for gender equality, then Men and the issues men face would get EQUAL consideration and treatment no?

But that does not and has not happened.

If these "Actual Feminists" existed then why have we not heard a peep from them around pushing the UN to include Male Circumcision as "Genital Mutilation" and thus outlaw it in the same way that Female Genital Mutilation has been?

Surely these "Actual" feminists should be capable of doing that right?
I will tell you honestly, right now.. if a group of feminists actually did this I would not only be impressed I would actually start to believe them if they told me "Feminism is about gender equality"

But until I see tangible results I'm over the claims of Feminism being for men too because as far as I can see we've had claims upon claims but no action and no results.

Nice attempt to dodge the question though..

[–]Upbeat-Highway-5953 -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Because female circumcision has a buttload of problems that are far harder to solve than male circumcision?

https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/female-genital-mutilation

https://www.webmd.com/sexual-conditions/ss/slideshow-std-pictures-and-facts

[–]Punder_man 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Again, dodging the question here.

Male Genital Mutilation happens hundreds of times A DAY compared to how often Female Genital Mutilation happens.

My point is, that if these "Actual" Feminists you go on about existed.. it would have been EASY to include men when they went to the UN to get Genital Mutilation against women stopped.

But it didn't happen because these "Actual" feminists you keep going on are unicorns, they do not exist at all.

Once again, Until I see tangible results from feminism that shows that as a movement it cares about men or is willing to do things to help men / fix the issues men face I will continue to doubt claims made by you that feminism actually cares about men.

I and many other men have been burned by feminism too often to simply take feminism at its word at this stage.

Link 1) Holy shit there is so much here that you THINK is proving your point but sadly it does not say what you think it says.

Point number 3) "It successfully overturned LAWS that discriminate against men."

This is absolutely false, now, true I will concede that it may have helped over turn the drinking law in Oklahoma back in 1976.. but to claim that they have overturned multiple laws that discriminate against men is dishonest.

When asked why feminists don't fight to overturn the SEXIST and DISCRIMINATORY practices in our criminal justice system where men get longer prison sentences than women they seem either oddly silent on the issue or claim "Its because of patriarchy" which is a fucking cop out.

Point 7) "It triggered the FBI to change the definition of rape to include men."
Sure, might be true in America, but in other countries (Feminism isn't just bound to the USA) like the UK, Australia, New Zealand etc the definition of rape makes it clear that both men and women can be victims of rape however, while the victim can be a man or a woman, the perpetrator can ONLY be a man.

Point 14) "It expanded the definition of hate crimes to include all identities."
What an absolute fucking joke.. considering how on social media women can and constantly DO get away with using #KillAllMen or #MenAreTrash etc its quite clear that they have expanded the definition of hate crimes to include all identities that are NOT men. Men are still free game when it comes to expressing hate

There is more I could say on this link but I lack the time / effort to do so right now.

Link 2) Once again, no real solid proof here either.. and in fact its insulting how they say "A man is 230 times more likely to be sexually assaulted than falsely accused of sexual assault"

Nice way to go hand waving away false rape accusations or trying to claim "They don't happen" when they absolutely DO happen.

Link 3) More feminist bullshit about how "Its all men's fault" and how "Men need to do better" Not exactly sure what your proving here nor how "Feminism" has actually helped to resolve issues facing men.

Finally, how about the very REAL harm done by feminists who pushed for the uptake of the Duluth Model of Domestic Violence? A model which outright assumes that men are aggressors and women are victims and because of this model, male victims of Domestic Violence have all but been erased from the statistics?

Where are these "Actual" feminists of yours in regards to the Duluth model? surely these "Actual" feminists would be appalled by the biases used to construct this model and would push for a more gender neutral model which is tailored to suite our current society right?

So where are these "Actual" feminists you keep claiming exist?

[–]Upbeat-Highway-5953 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

For your argument against point number three, feminists are currently working to overturn the law that requires only men are able to apply for the draft. Also the law that doesn’t let women into the army was overturned, the law discriminated against men by not allowing for both genders to fight in the war which put all of the pressure on men. Women not being allowed in the workplace put all of the financial pressure on mens backs, so when women were allowed to work it increased mens rights by giving both genders financial freedom.

For your point against number seven, I believe that the law changing to include men being able to be victims is a great step in the right direction. The article never said that feminists are done changing laws on rape.

To your point against number 14: not all men.

To your point against the second article: it never said there were no rape accusations. It is pointing out, however, that the actual act of rape is more common, and also more traumatizing, then a false rape accusation.

I agree that the Duluth model does discriminate, and it is already seen as controversial. I believe that the Duluth model is a good starting point, and that it should be made ungendered so that the perpetrator of violence, whatever the gender, is educated to see why what they are doing is wrong, and also that any underlying causes such as past bad experiences, poverty, etc. are fixed as well. Many people, including women, share your view that it needs fixing.

[–]Punder_man1 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

The Duluth model needs more than 'fixing' it needs to be thrown out an a new inclusive model created to take its place.
The problem is the majority of feminists I bring this up to dodge / ignore it because the Duluth Model benefits women and so why would they want to remove something that benefits women?

Also, in regards to False Rape Accusations being less 'traumatic' than actual rape, I feel that, unless you are a man who has gone through a false rape accusation you can't really make a claim on that.

For many men a false rape accusation is WORSE than being raped as firstly, Men who are victims of rape are often not believed at all when they come forward so that's one issue.. but a man who is falsely accused of rape by a woman often becomes a social outcast, his name forever stained with the accusation.

Men have lost their jobs, relationships with friends / families and some have even lost their lives because the mental anguish of having to deal with everyone looking at you and treating you as though you are a sexual predator was just too much for them.

Also I don't get your rebuttal to point number 14.
My point was that there is a very real prevalence of hatred towards men in the media, on social media etc. When I bring up the fact that #KillAllMen is triggering to men (like myself) who are survivors of violence at the hands of women and a slap in our faces that reminds us that our female aggressors will NEVER face justice for what they did to us.. I get told "Its just a joke" or "Its only satire" or "Its just 'punching up'"

Yet, If I as a man were to even TRY using #KillAllWomen then not only would that be called out as hate speech (As it should) but I would be BANNED from multiple social media platforms if I used that hashtag..

But on the flip side, #KillAllMen is NOT hate speech according to many feminists..

And its shit like that which leads me to believe that Feminism is NOT for men nor does Feminism "Care for men" as you claim it does..
If Feminism did care then not only would men's issues get more attention shit like #KillAllMen would get called out.

But it doesn't because as many feminists point out "We live in a Patriarchy which is a system designed by men to benefit men and oppress women. And because women are the oppressed 'class' you can't be 'Sexist', 'Misandrist', 'Racist' etc towards your oppressors" hence why what should be labeled hate speech when directed towards men, isn't yet anything which can be labeled hate speech towards women needs to be called out.

[–]Upbeat-Highway-59531 point 3 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I’m not saying that a false rape accusation isn’t traumatizing because it is. What truly needs to happen is for better education around the entire matter. All sexes and genders need to learn about anatomy, stds, sexed, periods, politics, etc. for all sexes and genders so that way there is less discomfort and more facts and knowledge around the entire basis. Lack of knowledge is a main reason for why these issues are happening, and I believe more widespread and in-depth education in these matters would help make sure they don’t happen.

I also agree that hate speech needs to stop. #KillAllMen and #MenAreTrash are both unacceptable. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to get rid of hatred. More education and knowledge of and for all genders so that hatred cannot build is essential.

men are ‘exploited’ by women for extracting money, how they get unfairly ‘friendzoned’ by the girls they really like, how women want to marry only successful, rich men among others.

Everything is just an elaborate, wicked plot to defame and eventually subjugate men!

All true.

Comments also closed on that article. Granted it's from 2016 though. When that pile of man-hating tripe was published back then there was probably loads of comments that roasted the article and the cretin who wrote it.
