Good question. If you do an nslookup for cotwa.imfo you get 216.239.36.21. If you put that in the URL box, you get the same message so it doesn't seem like it's something google is doing, however, it does seem to respond to a ping request.

he was very ill for a long time, i'm not certain what the ailment was but he told me in an e-mail last year.

The site is still accessible through https://cotwa.blogspot.com/ , and was last updated Feb 14 this year. I guess the cotwa.info renaming has expired.
