I go to pick up my son from nursery, he's 2 and a half. The woman says 'we had to change his top because he was pouring and he got it wet'. I say, 'oh I thought what you were saying was a metaphor for a minute'. She laughs. I say 'you know as in -' but she has already walked away. So this is rude, but what can I do, I can't say it's rude because that will just make me/ my son a pariah at the nursery (it's a good nursery). This isn't the first time something like this has happened with her. I'm not someone who goes around expecting respect, just normal levels of politeness from people I have to see 5 times a week.

I know this isn't entirely gender related, but it is related to being the person with the 'crazy' opinion. I mean lots of people must get all kinds of ganged up on for supporting mensrights, anyone have any strategies? My only experience with this sort of thing is whenever you question someone's treatment of you, they always have a story of how in fact you were the one who was rude and they exercised great restraint in not addressing it.

Edit: The metaphor is that his diaper leaked (pouring) so his top had to be changed. But rather the kids had been pouring water for fun.
