Did anyone ever watch I Love Lucy or Dick Van Dyke or even The Flintstones? Yes far different times but did you agree with the husbands or more on the wives side? There was an episode of Lucy where she and Ethel demanded equal rights, and so the husbands purposely forgot to bring their wallets to dinner. Then the wives got upset when they had to stay and wash the dishes. There was another where it was Fred and Ethel’s anniversary—the husbands wanted to go watch a fight, while the wives wanted to go to a nightclub. Ended up going to the fights.

There was an episode of the Dick Van Dyke show where Laura wouldn’t speak to Rob after they went out to dinner and Rob paid for himself, Laura, Buddy and Sally. The whole episode was “what did I do to make her mad at me?” Because he took money out of Richie’s college fund to pay for the meal. Of course if he made her pay, it would still be his fault.

I also feel like the Flintstones was more like Wilma was the man of the house, calling Fred out for his schemes 🤣 couldn’t stand her mother though. Fred was genuinely trying to be a good man and respect her and she just walked all over him, but she and Fred were very much alike lol. Loud and built similarly. At least Wilma tried calling her mother out.
