Does anybody have any more information about this?

General rape statistics against men are heavily skewed, so I am wondering if anybody has any better information on this?

I don't accept the phone surveys as accurate, partially because of the way that men's rape culture (where men are the victims) is significantly harsher on multiple levels (like being able to speak openly about it, or without shame).

This is an incredibly detailed and neutral Wikipedia article on rape statistics in the United States, but they still do not adequately address the issue on women-on-man or man-on-man rape.

Something I found interesting was this claim:

"A 1997 report by the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics, which defines rape as forced penetration by the offender,[196] found that 91% of rape victims are female and 9% are male, and that nearly 99% of rapists are male."

The U.S. Bureau of Justice Statics defines rape as penetration, then make the claim that 99% of rapists are men. It's certainly not technically incorrect, but only when you define "rape" in a way where the majority of women rapists would not fall under their definition of "rape," and thus would not be classified as a rapist. This demonizes men. Even worse, it demonizes men with faulty statistics.

Of course, I do personally believe that there are more male rapists than female rapists, but the lack of quality statistics very much paint an unclear picture for me to look at, and because of it, I'm not really even able to make the claim that there are more male rapists than there are female rapists, and so I can't further my understanding on the issue.
