I was living in Georgia, dating a girl. We dated for ~6 months prior to me stupidly deciding we should get married. We found out we were pregnant a few days before I hadplanned on, and asked her to marry me. I was actually quite excited...until shit hit the fan. We didn't live together, she lived ~1 hour away. She thought that because I was working a 9-5 job, that I was cheating on her. This created tons of tension, eventually exploding into a screaming argument where her mother ran up the stairs, and started beating my ex... in the head, in the stomach, in the sides, everywhere... Now the fun begins... she called the cops on me for abusing her. I did no such thing.... I was arrested and charged with misdemeanor beattery, and given a no contact order. Mind you, I don't know if she's still pregnant. I moved back home (MA) as soon as I could as I didn't have any family in Georgia. Last June I got child support documentation in the mail.

Mind you, while we were together, she had a junk car, so I tried helping her out by cosigning a decent car so she could come visit me when she wanted.

Since then, I've hired a lawyer, a PI and spent my 401k, and all over my savings (~$70k) to find her, and figure out what the hell is going on. Only in March was I able to meet my beautiful daughter for the first time, at a place close to the mother (who had moved to the greater Orlando area, I have no idea where exactly).

I'm still paying for the car, as I didn't want my credit shot, but now have absolutely no money. I have only seen my baby girl 1 weekend, for about 4 hours total, which was supposed to be a much more lengthy time, but my ex "had to work" so my time was cut short. Now I'm paying the car, ridiculous amount of child support, because I worked to putmyself through school, and got into a gerat paying field, where she is a server, claiming she works 12 hours a week, but when I was down there she told me she worked 7 days a week, at least 6 hours a day (not good for my daughter). I work a 9-5 job, make great money, and it's currently being sucked out of my account by that evil woamn and her twisted mother.

Also, my ex has been into drugs, but I have no proof of this, except a weird arrest back in 07, where she turned herself in on a charge of "unlawful use of a driver's license or ID" and the charges were later cancelled.

I am currently awaiting the custody trial in mid June to determine what will come of all this, but I have little faith in my lawyers and PI. I've been broken down by this mess, and my daughter is going to end up paying for it. It's not fair to her. Thanks for listening to my rant.
