I'm gonna come right out and say it: I despise feminism.

All protests to the contrary aside, feminism isn't about equality anymore; it's about elevating one segment of society over another, based on nothing more than their gender. If feminism wasn't about female supremacy, it wouldn't be called feminism- it'd be called equalism.

Today's feminism is deeply flawed. It places personalities over principles; it isn't a means to an end, but an end in and of itself. It does not defend the rights of women, but negates the rights of men. Today's feminism is the spirit of selfishness run rampant- feminism teaches that you deserve everything, and owe nothing in return. It is pure, untamed narcissism.

Thanks to feminism, we now live in a world where it's often difficult to tell a person's gender. We live in a time when both men and women must apologize for fulfilling traditional gender roles, even if doing so makes them supremely happy. We live in a world where "equal pay" does not mean "equal work", and "freedom" means "free from responsibility".

There was a time that you could tell a person was male or female based on MORE than just secondary sexual characteristics- you could tell it by how they walked, talked, dressed, spoke, everything. Not anymore. Today, it's politically incorrect to even "assign" a gender to someone. We are supposed to take "transgender" to heart, and never ever assume someone is male or female. While creating an imaginary third gender may result in 33% more public restrooms, it is not in any way connected to reality.

We have allowed feminism to bind us, to silence us, until we became indistinguishable from each other aside from what's in our pants. This has led to the highest divorce rate the world has ever had, and a society where people kill strangers in shopping malls and churches and school cafeterias because they have never been allowed to "act" like the gender they are.

The mistake men have made since the late 1960's is listening to women about what women want. That's like asking a fish what kind of hook you should use: she's not gonna tell you, man! We used to be able to rely on our fathers to teach us how to interact with women, but unfortunately our fathers have been run out of the home, for the most part; feminism taught our mothers that they didn't need a man, whether or not their sons needed a father.

Rather than giving women what they NEED, we have been giving them what they crave. That's not good. I crave my grandmother's chocolate chip cookies, but given unrestricted access to them, things won't go well for me.

I am proud to say I am a man, and my wife is a woman. I provide for, protect, and guide my family. She cooks, cleans, and provides me with support. If you want to do it a different way that's fine, just stop expecting the rest of the world to bend to your will simply because you claim political correctness.
