Finally an article addressing the fact that universities stop counting those STEM subjects in which women are majority.

People always complain that there isn't enough women in stem but the opposite is true. There's too many women in stem. Lowered expectations and diversity hires mean most of the women in stem aren't as competent as their male counterparts.

While they haven't done any studies on this and I don't work in a stem field, I think it's pretty obvious that women in stem aren't as good at their jobs as the men.

I can't comment on competency because it varies from person to person. But what I will say is there appears to be a gap in passion for the subject matter. STEM is very challenging (especially once you reach the higher levels) and if you truly don't love it, you'll limit your potential success. Doing STEM to prove a point or because of the money is setting ones self up for failure.
