Just once it would be nice to see a real bit of information. The term “petromasculinity” has little to do with climate change. The concept of petro-masculinity suggests that fossil fuels mean more than profit; fossil fuels are part of the American male identity . The use of fossil fuels is seen as manly, meaning driving a loud V8 or hauling ass on a crotch rocket. The term also refers to the notion that many males see nurturing behaviors as being feminine and that’s why some resist changing to alternative energy, renewable resources. It’s not meant as an insult, it’s meant as an observation. Spend one day in my area and this becomes very clear. Gas is over 4 bucks a gallon but the gas sucking V8 trucks still race from traffic light to traffic light. I’m so over cancel culture.
