This is just an observation of mine but there seems to be a double standard imo. A women being angry at her man for looking at other women, talking positively of another woman's appearance or flirting with another woman seems to be looked upon well while the opposite situation only begets mockery and shaming tactics around accusation of fragility, insecurities, etc.

I have seen men voicing complains about his girlfriend flirting with another man being mocked as insecure.

I have seen men saying stuff like they are okay with Thor 4's nudity because they could use it to convince their girlfriends to see the movie. But I have never seen the same kind of speech in the opposite direction (i.e., wife talking of convaincing her husband by using his interest in another woman's body).

It seems that this double standard, if it exists, is rooted in the validation of women's emotions and the total disregard and mocking of men's emotions. You are jealous/feel hurt by your girlfriend's actions ? Your feelings does not matter in comparison to her freedom. You are jealous/feel hurt by your boyfriend's actions ? He is a scum who should know better than hurt your feelings.
