My sister was verbal abusing our mother and disrespecting her in front of our dad and grandma, my mum was in tears so I yelled at my sister to get out and then walked towards her to usher her out the door. As I got closer she pushed me away and then tried to push me again but I moved her hands away from me and said “Get out!”, our dad intervened and tried to push me back again I move his hands away from me. Then finally both my sister and dad left whilst my sister was till hurling abuse at me and my mum until they left the house.

If the police were get to involved would I be charged with assault take into account I’m 25M 6ft and 70kg bodybuilder, my sister is 29F 5,7 and 50-60kg. In my eyes it seems like if the police were called I’d be either issued a warning or charged with assault

The same day I did message her and apologise for how I acted and she hasn’t read the message
