This was posted a few days ago and as discovered then the statistic is most likely false.
If you really want to enact positive change then posting information without verifying it is one of the worst things you can do.

Came here looking for this. Do you know, or anyone else know, of a statistic similar in nature to the content?

This statistic is as true as the 1 in 5 statistic. While yes, around 21 men do kill themselves every week, it is impossible to know the reason for many of them, even if some did have child access issues at the time. If you're genuinely trying to help, look into information before you post it.

Only 10 percent of cases actually end up in the family court system. In most cases of divorce, men simply opt to give women custody of their children, and even in the family court system custody is given to men about half the time, and women the other half. The reason this is not yet showing up in statistics is because of the fact that these figures used to be skewed towards women. Things have changed, but a lot of the people who gained custody 15 or so years ago still have it nowadays, as in some states people legally have custody until the child is 20. In a while, we'll see that figure slowly. equalise between men and women. In addition to this, there is no source for the statistic you have given.
