MVAW = male violence against women

Not the first time I've ranted about this, but I just saw a comment on threads earlier that really infuriated and pissed me off. It was someone acknowleding that women can be violent towards men (which is absolutely true, and just as bad and wrong as the other way around). But in the same breath, this idiot as usual brought up the usual deflection of how it's nowhere near as much as the other way around and of course the favorite S-word of misandrists everywhere... that women being violent to men was nowhere near as "systemic" as the other way around. Ugh.

WTF... just how do these idiots believe that there's so much hate against women that men all over have somehow implemented a policy in the government system to see to it men all over are regularly violent to women. It's more victimhood BS and so tiresome and irritating. I know I shouldn't let what random idiots on the internet say affect me like this but it's painful to think there's people this stupid and ignorant, and that said stupidity and ignorance is widely accepted and enforced as factual. VAW is always given attention and condemation (rightfully so), but VAM (especially when by women) is treated as a joke and trivial, if it's ever acknowledged at all. And to acknowledge FVAM but mitigate it with the usual deflections of "but it's nowhere near the same scale" or "it's not systemic like the other way around" is arguably worse than denying it because it's basically making out to not be a problem or cause for concern.

Again, I know I shouldn't let an idiot who spouts such drival get me down like this, but it pisses me off so much when people do this.
