My advice is always, right off the bat, stay away from alcoholics and drug addicts. Especially if you have children.

I am not the lying type. In your place I would rather be told the harsh truth than sweet little lies. Yes, you are probably fucked.

Unfortunately, the U.S. family courts, and all courts really, heavily favor women and this is especially so when it comes to child custody cases.

I wish I had better news, but unless she royally fucks up in a very visibile, provable way, it is highly unlikely that you will gain favor in that court.

Talk to a lawyer. If she is getting arrested for soliciting and drug related crimes there is a good chance a judge will grant you custody. Court system usually favors women but if your past is clear of felonies you got a shot man.

You have a right to communicate with your children. You're going to have to make a legal case of it though. You're going to have to file a motion to modify your parenting plan. A judge in Knox County might not approve 'at will' communications, but they'll approve some type of scheduled communication. Something like every Wednesday night at 7 pm, or every Sunday at 4. You would probably want to ask for 'at will' first, or in the alternative on some schedule.
