Why has this become an acceptable comment no matter what the situation? Being taken for everything you own in Child Support... Man Up! You are a victim of DV... Man Up! The worst part is that numerous times this comment is coming from males that could easily end up in just as bad of a situation? Do we tell women who are victims of rape "women up"? Who even decides what makes a "man"?
