The wage gab is predicated not on one to one comparisons (Ie male firefighter, female firefighter), but a culmination of all income based on gender, without any parameters. In short, a manipulation of statistical data designed to create an illusion that simply does not exist. In fact, among full time workers leaving college today, women are out-earning boys.

Oddly enough, I remember a piece done on 60 minutes regarding a feminist author's study of the top wage earning women in the NY area. What she found, and fully admitted, was that upwards of 85% of them had left the workforce to go home and raise their families. She stated that those women, if they had stayed, would have been the judges, CEOs, politicians of today.

Any wage gap of the past, present, or future is determined not as a result of discrimination, but choice.

The only wage gap that exists is one woman created by not working hard jobs. Lots in the office up front gabbing away and going for smoke breaks none in the shop where it's loud smelly and has a potential for death. And than wonder why the men get paid more.

I can make up bulljive statistics too. Men are dying 15 times as frequently as women, but being the same hourly wage. I can thus conclude that men are being severely underpaid and should earn 15 times as much as women do.

And I've never heard any women complain about the fact that female models earn 50 to 100 times as much as their male counterparts.
