It's because those people who bitch about women being objectified are likely the very same hypocrites who will treat men like trash if the don't meet their standards for a 'relationship' and are probably the ones attacking you.

Part of it is the fact that a lot of people never bothered to ask this question. There's some recent research showing that men are objectified more than women, and that men are more effected by it than women (like when it comes to self-confidence and body image).

All of the recent superhero movies, especially from Marvell, are guilty of this.
