It's really annoying how people (especially older women) assume dads are second-class parents who know nothing about babies.
I'm a dad myself now for a month and I am sometimes more competent as my wife is. It's really not that hard too. It's just that men never involved themselves in the care of babies.

Any task you can think of with a baby I easily did 50% of with my daughter. I was the first person to change a poopy diaper.
I loved every second of it. We have a bun in the oven now. I can't wait to do it all over again.

My first is two days shy of 6 weeks old. His father also got the first nappy. And spit-up... okay, so first couple of those. First bath. First cuddles (I had a C-section).

I'd like to have a message added to it - If you're reading this, your childless friends are out having fun, and you're here being insulted by kids wear.

...Where does the head go? Do babies even have heads?
[–]rhunex 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Obviously not. There's no markings for a head. If your baby has a head you need to go to the doctor and get it removed before it becomes malignant.

With my first child, there were many, many times I felt like I needed instructions like that.

As the dad of a nearly one-year-old and sole economic provider for our family, shit like this fucking infuriates me. Delivering our daughter absolutely wiped my wife out so I was the one changing most of the diapers and changing/bathing her for the first couple weeks. Just because I'm not home with her all day doesn't mean I'm an incompetent parent, and the stay-at-home-mom crowd this shit is aimed at is really fucking ungrateful for the amount of work us dads have to do to allow them the privilege of being able to stay home.

It's a useful shirt. The moment someone shows up with it, you know who to kick out of your life.

Lol... My wife needed onsies like that, not me. I had much younger siblings while my wife didn't so i walked into our firstborn with far more baby experiance.
