As a temporary solution, until the actual problem is found, considering setting up a cron (if on linux, if on windows something of the sort) that periodically checks whether or not it is running, and, if it isn't, restarts.

Or, if it has no negative impact, actually forces a restart regardless of whether anything went wrong or not.

I don't know much about python but if I find anything that might be wrong I'll let you know.

If anyone wants to know, I mostly get 504 errors from PRAW's use of the "requests" library. I did once get a socket timeout error, though. The thing is, that except praw.requests.exceptions.HTTPError line should be catching that error and just continuing with the bot loop. Why is it not?

It worked for a short while, but recently, I keep having to restart the bot. I have made some commits that should send me an email whenever it crashes, but at this point, it's crashing every day or less (I haven't recorded exactly how much time it takes to go down).
