In most dramas (written by women) I always notice it basically has the same plot:

  • man cheats on woman
  • man lies to woman
  • man murders woman

And so it s basically OK for the female protagonist to off the male character in question because of course she was the innocent wronged one, and he was a total 'bastard' the whole time anyway. (Funny how the story always seems so one sided. Could the authors be trying to project their own hangups perhaps?)

Here s the latest offering of this crap, and in times past I would have dismissed it as just another jaded writer s therapy session. But the problem is the message that this sends out to young women.

It basically tells them: men bad so it s OK to destroy them and don't feel guilty about it. How much gaslighting and manipulation is this going to lead to in later life? Probably a lot.

Commentators talk about mysogyny. Well I'm calling out this misadndry for the bullshit that it is.
