More evidence of the rape hysteria gripping the country. Say "Rape" and the media flocks like vultures; with the male already tried and convicted. It's not the media - mainstream America shares the obsession with rape. Our court system treats men as if they were guilty from the very start when a rape accusation is made. I know of no other charge where someone can be accused and arrested based solely on the word of a single individual.

Sadly, this is only one aspect of the many myths about men that influence so many critical aspects of our lives. We are not equally suited as parents, we are the main cause of domestic violence, we make more money, we control who gets hired and promoted, etc, etc, etc.

Right now, those misconceptions are held as hard facts by the majority of people. Plenty of men are just as ignorant of the actual proven facts. That majority includes voters, police officers, social workers, victim advocates, District Attorneys, lawyers, prosecutors, judges, and jury members. Politicians pass legislation that pacifies voters (who don't know the facts) and discriminates against men. If you believe that public opinion doesn't really mean anything, keep in mind that those aforementioned people, who are involved in making and applying every law we live under, are members of the public.
