Not really a men's rights issue but I did post about a week ago that my son was going in for heart surgery soon.

Glad to say he is doing all right, even though we almost lost him his first night after surgery. Everyone has been real supportive and I was able to be here for him and my wife the last 5 days!!

This hospital and it's staff are second to none in my book! Positive note, we had a male nurse a couple nights (including the really bad one) and we need more male nurses. He was just as competent and empathetic as our female nurses and see a bright future for him in this field. He is also treated with respect by other nursing staff...So "if" their is a stigma against male nurses it is not present in this hospital on this floor.

All the nurses here are interchangeable in their abilities here for the most part (and he wasn't the only male nurse on this floor!)
