Hello, A while back I pointed out some sexist language that my union had included in an Equity workshop. Now, I am trying to word a resolution to present that will put the wording to more gender neutral terms.

Anyways, here is what I got. Any help is appreciated.

Be is resolved that, (name of union) when ever possible adopts gender neutral language in its policies, workshops and publicly available materials.

Be it further resolved, that when crafting definitions and terms of reference for course materials, they be derived from reputable and current research that is supported by facts and reflects our members experiences.

I am not sure what else to do here, I am looking for equality. I am not looking for any one group to be universally labeled as good/bad, or having more/less power over another. So if we could keep this as neutral as possible, that would be appreciated.

Side note: I am sure my karma will take a hit for this. But, I am thinking about posting this in r/feminism for some of their thoughts.

(Edit 1: I am was rejected by the bot in r/feminism for a linking issue, then saw that r/askFeminists is probably a more appropriate place to post, so I posed there instead)
