I've never posted in here before. (I'm more of an athiesm kind of redditor) but I feel like this meme needs to be out there. This is something I typed up a minute ago lol.

In contemporary feminist discussions, the topic of female objectification is bound to come up. The idea is that the patriarchy portrays women as objects (something which is acted upon) and men as subjects (something that acts). It apparently is the cause of the so called “wage gap” and the invisible (yet prevalent) rape culture which allows men to justify forcing our urges upon women.

However, this is a completely false dichotomy. In this, I will argue that feminists objectify women more than the so called “patriarchy” ever could.

Due to the feminists irrational view of the world, in which men control everything in a way that directly subjugates women, they tend to characterize women as victims of discrimination and men as the perpetrators of discrimination.

Wait, what??? Wasn’t it bad to label women as objects? to reduce them to something which is only acted upon is wrong, right?

Victims are objects, as they are the ones being acted upon. So you might be thinking “Sure, whatever, but how do feminists portray men as the subject?”

In feminist ideology, men are characterized as the people who make more money, own more businesses, control the government, and have the free time to set up a set of unspoken rules that maintain their status as the superior sex.

Hey, wait a minute, men are starting to sound a lot like subjects. Arent feminists the ones who are supposed to allow women to start being the subject???

To me it all just seems like feminists have no idea what they are even complaining about anymore.
