Emily Lindin recently made an atrocious tweet which many have talked about: http://archive.is/cv9uu

It may seem like just some other feminist talking, however, perhaps we would do better to note that Ms. Lindin writes for Teen Vogue which gets aimed at young girls.

I realize that many of us have free speech concerns. However, the right of free speech allows us to engage in letter writing campaigns to magazines if we do not believe it in the public interest to have them write for that magazine. Additionally, the right of free speech allows us to demand apologies for breaches of moral behavior, or for encouraging breaches of moral behavior. Consequently, I submit the following questions for consideration:

  1. Should we demand that Ms. Lindin issue a public apology for her atrocious statements about ignoring the rights of the accused?

  2. And/or should we demand that Teen Vogue make her employment conditional on her issuing a public apology for her atrocious statements about ignoring the rights of the accused?

  3. And/or should Ms. Lindin really be working at a magazine designed for teenage girls, since she seems willing to encourage false accusations?

Edit: Teen Vogue is published by Conde Nast who employs the Editor at Teen Vogue. The chief executive officer of Conde Nast is Robert A. Sauerberg Jr. It's President is Charles H. Townsend.
