2019/2020 statistics will be really interresting to analyse.
MeToo started in 2017/2018 and there were A LOT of claims. Remember, the justice system is EXTREMLY slow. You often see stories about guys being falsely accused when the accusation was made 2 or 3 years earlier. So all the claims from MeToo are still being investigated right now. You only hear now about the easiest ones where the evidences were so obvious that it didn't even go to trial...
But wait until end 2019 and 2020, when all the cases will have gone to trial and we will have more statistics. I expect a spike in conviction of rape because some claims will obviously be legitimate but I also expect as a result a higher spike in un-founded claims from it.

A lot of claims of deliberate sabotage come down to people being stupid. ‘Never attribute to malice what can be explained by incompetence.’

There is very clearly a market for a "male pill" I think you will find feminist opposition is a barrier, there are no other factors.

I have never heard anyone besides a few second-wave feminists from about 5 decades ago argue that there should not be a male pill/implant/whatever. Twice in the last decade trials have been stopped- even against the wishes of the men in the trial- because of side effects like mood swings that the companies/researchers thought that a larger audience of men would not tolerate.

If your argument for a foetus being just a parasite then abortion would be legal up to the point of birth by that logic.

It is, in some states, including mine. It’s pretty much irrelevant even there that it is, though, because pretty much no woman goes through 7 months of pregnancy and then aborts a healthy fetus for no reason other than that she changed her mind.

As to financial situation after parenthood there are many factors. The woman has multiple options, termination, safe haven abandonment and adoption(the last two without consent or knowledge of the father which some women do to avoid child support). For her motherhood is a choice, for a father he has no choice whatsoever.

That’s a problem with biology, not policy. AfaIk men can, and do, prevent adoption or have adoptions rescinded after the fact if they decide that they want to be the primary caretaker. They can demand parental support if they do, afaik. They just cannot, like women cannot, legally demand that the other person be the primary caretaker.

The spouse who makes more money after a divorce gives alimony or palimony to the spouse who makes less. The spouse who makes less is pretty much always the one who is the primary caretaker of the kids. I have known a couple of doctors who paid palimony after a divorce because call, hours worked, demands, etc made it logical for the husband to be the primary caretaker and the one to take a hit to his career for childcare.

Taking a morning after pill does not. Calling the natural state of pregnancy physical harm is a stretch.

Taking a morning after pill cause extreme cramping and hormonal swings. Even taking regular daily pills messes with a lot of women’s emotions and physical states. Menstrual cramping, whether induced by the morning after pill or not, is debilitating for many women. ‘Natural’ reproduction is physically harmful in many species, including humans. We are not as bad as octopuses or salmon, where it ‘naturally’ kills the mother and both parents respectively, but ‘nature’ doesn’t GAF about the parents as long as the genes get propagated. Women’s bodies are stripped of minerals and nutrients, they are at higher risk of developing obesity and diabetes (and no, obesity is NOT just about aesthetics), at higher risk of autoimmune disorders, at higher risk of some cancers (lower risk of others), higher risk of high blood pressure, etc. And that’s in a normal, healthy pregnancy, with no unexpected complications. Women in the United States also face third-world levels of pregnancy-related morbidity and mortality.

Women are advised to wait 3-4 years between term pregnancies because the subsequent infant is very likely to be underweight if they do not, because it takes them that long to physically recover from the first one. Again, assuming everything went well.

Holding a father financially responsible for a child he was tricked into conceiveing is not a good legal priority.

OK. Given the state interest in having children not grow up in abject poverty, are you fine with taxing everyone more to support all children and primary caretakers? Personally, I think that’s a fantastic idea, but for some reason the men on this forum tend to disagree with me.

Giving an unwilling father in general no option to opt out of parenthood while mothers have 3 is not a good set of legal standards for men or children.

Again, you’re arguing with biology. If I could wave a magic wand and make men just as likely to get pregnant as women, with all of the same options that women have to terminate or prevent that women have, believe me, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Erin Pizzy stated that there was no woman's movement, just an upper middle class white woman's marxist movement.

She was exiled from what had started as a woman's rights movement for stating that over half the women in her shelters were, themselves, violent, and that men needed our support as well.

That was back in the 70s. She stated that she still has the letter.

Sounds a lot like the guys who fake claims of women taking semen out of condoms to get themselves pregnant.
